We don’t know about you, but we thought our summer was busy until we happened to take a peek at our September lineup. And? Weddings, weddings, and more weddings. Now, we love nothing more than getting all gussied up and witnessing two of our nearest and dearest exchange marriage vows, but keeping up with all the dresses a wedding guest needs is quite the feat. (Hey, overlapping crowds means no repeats!) We at Thread, of course, turn to Thread Social for any and all such occasions, and, well, with the fun pieces in our Fall 2011 collection, we suggest you do, too.

Melissa can’t stop raving about the gorgeous wedding she went to in Whistler, British Columbia this past weekend, and we can’t blame her. Not only is the setting divine (the blue sky! the green trees! the sparkling sunshine!), but the dresses, oh, the dresses! Yes, they happen to be Thread, but that doesn’t mean they deserve any less praise.

As you know, we’ve been on a yellow kick of sorts here at Thread, and the cheery pop of these bouquets against the cool grey of the dresses is no exception. So chic, so crisp, so cool.

Oh Mr. Porter, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways. You taught our groom-to-be how to tie a bow tie –  nay, the perfect bow tie. You told us how to tell if a suit fits properly, and you gently pushed us away from having our groomsmen buy black suits. Indeed, while some of the gorgeous wares you proffer on your well-designed website might be out of our financial league, you truly have been a welcome presence in this wedding planning process, a process in which neither bride nor groom knew an oxford from a monk – until now.
