A simply gorgeous and moving rainbow-lit Empire State Building, as seen last night during a simply gorgeous and moving citywide celebration of New York State legalizing same sex marriage.

Being dress designers, there’s nothing better than seeing a gal wear one of our dresses. But weddings? Especially family weddings? Where bridesmaids and guests alike are wearing Thread? Forget about it. That is a whole other level. Case in point: A glowy Melissa (in Thread Social) at her cousin’s wedding in Durham, NC a couple of weeks ago, surrounded by a bevy of Thread-clad bridesmaids. Just adorable, no?

Question of the day: Why don’t more people — not just brides, but mankind as a whole — use embossers? (Embossers, for those who might not know, are like little letterpress stamps, most commonly used for return address purposes.) Embossers usually run about $50 (if you get a good one), and once you own one, you don’t need to replace for a good long time (unless you move). And: Embossing your return address is so much easier than hand-writing it, so much more inexpensive than printing or professionally letterpressing it, and just overall more chic than any other option out there. So, we repeat: Why don’t more people use embossers?
