Call Us Crazy…

By Thread Said

…but each time we saw the lovely Natalie Portman at the Oscars last night, we couldn’t help but think of our Marilyn gown. Oui?

Aisle do!*

By Thread Said

Big news, ladies and gents: The Aisle New York will debut our beloved Thread Bride on Monday. If you are unfamiliar with The Aisle, suffice to say that it is a place a bride-to-be can go to find luxurious little gems (of the real and the metaphorical sort) for her big day at a tastefully discounted price. Even better? If you decide upon on one of our pretty gowns, like say our Lulu pictured above, you will have it in your lovely little hands within two weeks. Yep. And there we shall stop, leaving you to see for yourself. Happy shopping!

*Sorry. Couldn’t resist.

Ring Pops, Redux.

By Thread Said

rings3V2

We are BIG fans of Ring Pops here at Thread; we even included ‘em in the little gift bags we gave out during our wedding weekend pop-up shop. Imagine, therefore, our delight when we came across Artesenal Sweets, a darling little NY-based bakery that makes candy rings so beautiful (yes, beautiful) it seems a shame to eat ‘em. Just parfait for a bridal shower favor, non?

(More information here; Artesenal’s baked goods look pretty, er, sweet as well. Mmm.)

Cheery Pops O’ Color!

By Thread Said

0267

Thought we could all use some cheer–and inspiration–on this blustery Friday in February. We’ve said it before, brides-to-be, and we will most definitely say it again: Take a risk! Have FUN with your wedding. Chances are, you’ll end up just as happy as this adorable bride.

Congratulations, Molly & JT!

(Dresses, from left: The Hutton in kelly green faille, the Liddy in french blue faille, the Liddy in fuchsia, the Serena in punch faille, the Gabrielle in banana faille, and the Liddy in aubergine faille. See ‘em all here.)
