Registeries that Give Back

By Thread Said

Registering for your wedding is one of those fantasy moments when you go through a store or website and pick out anything you want (only you’re not footing the bill!)  Recently we’ve spoken to many couples getting married and there’s a realization that reducing consumption and choosing items that are earth friendly is quickly becoming the trend (and hopefully the standard!) in gift giving and receiving.

We found these websites who are doing a great job in providing a happy medium of great, well designed, fun gifts that are also eco-friendly.

ABC Home

Thread Tip* ABC Home takes eco-chic one step further by allowing your guests to purchase gift certificates online for any monetary amount.  This eliminates the waste of packaging and gives you the eco-friendly freedom to purchase exactly what you want!

Happy Shopping (without the guilt)!!

Hey, What’s in the Bag?

By Thread Said

When accessorizing for your big day, the concept of handbags should not be overlooked. Granted, you’ve got plenty of maids to keep track of your cell phone, wallet and lipstick, but we came across a few special clutches that would look pretty swell for those reception-to-honeymoon-bound photos!  This Devi Kroell clutch in dove grey is a small investment at $1,290 but so gorgeous and creative we had to share anyway. For more affordable options, check out J. Crew’s Rosette Clutch which comes in a variety of colors; as well as Banana Republic’s beaded clutch. For a mere $98 these work for brides and maids alike!
